# The Vision

### Number One

Charities save the lives of millions every year and alleviate the suffering of many more. But as the size of the organisations grows, their control weakens and the risk of [waste and inefficiency](https://www.propublica.org/article/how-the-red-cross-raised-half-a-billion-dollars-for-haiti-and-built-6-homes) grows.

**Though temporary relief is important, it fails to achieve transformative and long-lasting impact.**

This is why we focus on upskilling, targeting high-return work within software engineering. This has the potential of outsized impact as it means we bring the required tech skills to start to form a high value-add export industry, bringing in money to the country which is then used to stimulate domestic consumption.

This is why exports are considered one of the most important elements for long-term [economic growth](https://blogs.lse.ac.uk/mec/2021/03/22/exports-imports-and-economic-growth-new-evidence-from-kuwait/) and large-scale improvements in quality of life.

*`We're going for Number One.`*

### Vision for 2030

By 2030, we want to have taken on more than 25,000 students, and tripled their expected lifetime earnings.
