Phase 1: Awareness Campaign

During this phase, we will

Phase 2: Official Public Mint

September 30th - November 10th.

Phase 3: Laptop purchases and distribution

November 11th - November 19th.

We make the laptop and WiFi device purchases and distribute them to the students during an in-person bootcamp launch day.

Phase 4: DirectEd Bootcamp Ethiopia 2023/24

November 20th - May 6th

The Ethiopian bootcamp will contain the same content but at half pace owing to the fact that most students will be pursuing this bootcamp parallel to their university studies.

There will be a milestone assessment once a month, each covering one module. Students who fail are given one retake opportunity. If they fail again, then they will no longer be able to proceed in the bootcamp and will receive a certificate corresponding to the achievements attained. Phase 5: DirectEd Internship Ethiopia 2024

June 2024 - December 2024

Partner firms interview and select students in groups of four to build out projects for the tech firm partner. Each group of 4 is led by a DirectEd staff serving both as a Project Manager and technical mentor.
