Rohan Mitta - Smart Contract
Rohan holds a master’s in pure mathematics from the University of Cambridge and a master’s in Foundations of Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Oxford. Rohan leads the development of our smart contracts and self-sovereign identifier integrations.
Edmund Ebiyenrin - Front End
Edmund Ebiyenrin is a Software Developer and a community builder. He received his B.S. in Computer Science in Federal University Makurdi, Nigeria. He is a former google developers’ student’s clubs lead and currently a team lead for Google developer groups in Benue.

Cecilia is born and partially raised in a small village in southern China, she moved to Sweden at a young age. She’s now pursuing a master's degree in Computer Science with an emphasis in Machine Learning and AI, at Lund University. She’s passionate about DirectEd’s mission of making higher education accessible regardless of economic and cultural background with the help of technology like blockchain. Her other interests include travelling and trying foods from different countries. Currently working for DirectEd as a volunteer.
Ency Lu - UIX design
Ency graduated in BFA fine arts majoring in painting and ceramics from Queens College, City University of New York and Fashion Design from Parsons the New school for Design. By combining her artistic and visual background with her passion for empathetic design. She naturally gravitated towards the career in UX design. With a deep empathy for both humans and animals, she possesses a multidimensional perspective that allows her to understand and connect with users on a profound level. Ency is currently most interested in environmentalism, human development, and the theory of running. In her free time, Ency enjoys listening to all genres of music, being in nature, and writing poetry.
Sherrie Ma - UI Design
Sherrie Ma is an operational specialist at Apple but is looking to transition to a full-time UX/UI design job after recently receiving certification from Springboard. She is passionate about learning how people interact with their screens and is excited to combine her retail and event managing background with design knowledge to create user-centric designs. Currently working for DirectEd as a volunteer.
John Ndigirigi - Atala PRISM developer
Software developer and BSc. Computer science undergraduate student at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology.I am passionate about software engineering, developer communities and startups. I develop software with React Js, Node and Express, Next, TypeScript, React Native and more. I am also passionate about Web3 and AI. I enjoy learning and participating in projects that are positively impactful to society. In my free time, I workout, travel and hike.
Kajsa-Lotta Georgii Hellberg - Flyers
Kajsa is currently working as a research assistant at the Biological Institute of Psychiatry (IBP), in addition to an internship at the bioinformatics department of H. Lundbeck A/S. She holds a bachelor's in political science, with a major in statistics, from Uppsala University. Her current research projects are directed towards the genetics of psychiatric treatment response since she believes it to be one of the most immediate high-impact areas for patients. In her free time, Kajsa enjoys activities related to any creative medium, such as painting, sewing or cooking.
Springboard Internship Teams - UIX Design
We have had the privilege to work with not only one, but two internship teams of UIX designers who helped DirectEd build out our website designs over two months! The designer interns include April Nguyen, Sherrie Ma, Amanda Ni, Anne Marie Gougen, Xiaofei Zhang and Carmel Hunt.
